Saray
My name is Sara Youbi. I was born in Fez, Morocco, one of the country's imperial cities. How could I remain untouched by such cultural heritage? When I was 5, I moved with my family to Northern Italy, to a small town very close to Lake Garda. I graduated in Fashion Design from IUAD — the Italian University of Art and Design in Naples. Today I live in a small German town that looks like it stepped out of a Brothers Grimm fairy tale, in the middle of the Black Forest, on the border with Switzerland.
Tomorrow, I don't know.
This isn't a biography. It's an itinerary. I have made movement my root, and curiosity my way of looking at the world. A place so out of time gives me exactly what I need. The freedom to feel like a citizen of the world
Saray Ancestral Handmades is born from this freedom. Textile art pieces that belong to no season, no trend, no fixed place. Only to the gesture that created them. Slow, unrepeatable, and above all, human.
